This year Joe and I had a pretty crazy 4th - I guess it would be what most consider "normal" however, we are homebodies so crowds, traffic and heat kind of make us crazy!!
Someone (I don't know who) had the GENIUS idea to take a blanket to Sugarhouse park at 10 AM to save us a prime firework watching spot. This was the GENIUS part of the idea because it got so crowded as the night crept on. However, it was someones other genius idea to take the scooter to fireworks... BAD IDEA - especially considering we live 8 freaking blocks away!!! It takes us 10-15 minutes to walk there normally!!
We got to the park around 6 PM so we had plenty of times to take pictures of ourselves and buy lots of stuff that we certainly DO NOT need! Such as glow sticks! Whoever invented them is probably a millionaire. People were going crazy for them - including me!! HAHA

Once the firework show wrapped up we hopped on the scoot only to sit in traffic for an hour and a half!!!!!!!!! Never again - NEVER!! It was fun to have a night alone with the hubs though. That, I will do again AND AGAIN!!It was also a great day for my family because my mother gained independence from her husband. Mean, I know! Love him but, they were not good in any way for each other!!
