Last Tuesday did not start out so well. I had to leave work early due to some serious kidney pain, weakness, nausea, body aches, etc. BLAH! I went to the doc Tuesday afternoon. She said I had a kidney infection, gave me antibiotics and sent me home! Well, by the time I got to the pharmacy to fill my prescription - I WAS DYING! I was in so much pain that every bump, stop, EVERYTHING was so painful! Thank god for LORTAB - it was my best friend last week! Anywho, I got worse Tuesday, even worse on Wednesday and EVEN WORSE on Thursday. Thursday I broke down and got a CT scan. Confirmed - stone in the ureter! I know, so hot! Sorry if this is TMI!! Well, the stoneS passed. That's right, I said stones! It was the most painful thing ever!! WOW! However, I felt instant relief the second the demons were out of me. Thursday night, I actually felt somewhat like myself again. Oh, I forgot to mention that during all of this I never moved from my bed and Joe was hurrying to finish the kitchen for Mad's baby shower that I was supposed to host on Saturday! He somehow managed to take care of me, Kade and the kitchen! WOW, amazing guy... thanks babe!! Friday I was back to work, feeling like my old self! WHEW - it was touch and go for a little bit but, I am so happy to be better!
Friday night I somehow managed to plan a baby shower - FOR THE NEXT DAY! That's right - games, food, everything was done in a night!

Here's a pic of the sweets table. OMG - the punch was AMAZING! You put in a thing of 2-liter ginger ale, a quart of pineapple juice and a tub of frozen raspberry sherbet! YUMMERZ and EASY!!!
Here is a pic of the PRETTIEST, most photogenic woman in the WORLD. I HATE people this pretty!! Especially pretty prego girls = BRAT!! Maybe it's just me but, pregnancy brings out the SHREK genes in me. Everything turns round and yes, greenish! haha SEXY....

My BFF aunt/Maddie's maternity photographer was on hand for the shower! Thank goodness she was there - what a HUGE help! AND... she was able to stick around for................... drum roll please.........................

All in all it was a horrible week but, an AWESOME weekend! Thanks to all who came to shower Maddie and thanks for all my helpers/doctors for making everything ALL BETTER!!
