Christmas

Well, Christmas Eve was spent at my sister's house (which is always interesting). There are always so many people there that it is impossible to maintain any kind of order. Yes, I made my turkey and it was surprisingly delicious. Yay, go me!! Driving home, however, was another story. The normally 5-10 minute drive took us an hour!! The wind was blowing harder than it ever has and there was already so much snow and ice on the roads. I was really starting to think that we were not coming home that night. Well, we made it home and set out the cookies for Santa.

Christmas morning was AMAZING! We all got WAY spoiled. Of course, I forgot my camera at my sister's house the night before so, I only took a few pics. WELL... after present opening we rushed to get ready and leave because people had already called to ask where we were. We opened the garage to a 3 FOOT WALL OF SNOW!! No joke, three feet right against the garage and then it dwindled down to two feet as you approached the end of the driveway. We spent the next two hours attempting to dig out and drive to Tara's. To make a long story short, my sister's husband had to come pick us up in his rock crawling Jeep. I can say that I have never had to be picked up on Christmas before. Once we got to Tara's, Kade was ready for a nap but, he had time to receive some super cool gifts. NOT COOLER THAN MINE THOUGH! That's right, I got Aerosmith Guitar Hero! I was excited beyond words, I opened it up and played it immediately!!

After that, we came back home in the Jeep to get Kaden ready for his slumber party. Once he was dropped off at Grandma and Grandpa's, Joe and I were off to Grandma Valerie's to see her, my dad, Grandpa, Wyley and Ellie (since we missed them at Tara's house). We had lots of fun visiting, but could only stay for awhile.

Then we headed to Anthony's house for a good old fashioned family game night. We mostly played World Tour. SO FUN... I love that his family has adopted us as a part of theirs!!

All in all, it was the greatest Christmas ever! Here are some pics of us and some of my favorite presents!!
